@Diverfrank:
Sorry for the late response.
As you've surely observed
FreeWebsiteHelpdesk.com is still a work-in-progress. I had barely finished with the installation of the Xenforo forum software when
Murphy's Law made a huge swing in my direction: my mother passed away. As you can imagine, I had to put everything off!
My site is: "
www.qualitydispatchingservices.com". I started it as a way to recruit Owner Operator Truck Drivers. I am interested in becoming a successful Affiliate Marketer and utilizing my Blog Page as the landing page for products I want to promote.
That's a nice website you have there. And, yes, affiliate marketing is a great way to start making money online.
If this might be an inspiration for you, I had dabbled in affiliate marketing myself over the years until the pandemic came and I lost 100% of my local freelancing (web development) income. With so much time on my hands, I went all-in on just one product (a SaaS product launch), made a ton of sales, and earned enough commissions to replace my previous freelancing income.
And, yes, affiliate income will be a big part of my planned income streams for this very website. The goals are to
diversify my current affiliate income sources and make my earnings more a bit more
"passive" (compared with freelancing!)... all while providing awesome and totally free website technical support to everyone, everywhere.
I'm certainly not a guru by any stretch, but I've certainly learned a few things along the way in my affiliate marketing journey. So do not hesitate to contact me if you have any specific questions on affiliate marketing!
I am a bit confused when it comes to setting up the Blogging "Page" of my site, should I use a regular "Static Page" as the Landing page or do I use the "Blog" plugin that is below the Posts plugin?
It seems you've got the blogging page going already, using the
Elementor plugin's Posts widget.
That's certainly one way to do it. But I'm personally not a big fan of ANY 3rd-party WordPress page builder plugin

, so I'd go about it the native WordPress way, without using a plugin or even a block:
- Create a blank page. You don't need to put anything on this page, as it's merely a placeholder to display your latest blog posts.
- Go to Settings => Reading, and, under "Your homepage displays", choose the page you created as the "Posts Page" (see screenshot below)
Done this way, the appearance of the posts on the Posts or Blog page depends 100% on the theme.
